Lilydale
What's in your average hotdog? Let's just say it starts with an unidentified animal species and goes downhill from there.
The Story
Yak. The other, other white meat.
I confess. Before I went vegan I was a full on street meat junkie. I’d happily down a couple of footlongs loaded with questionable animal by-products as long as they were smothered in hot mustard and sauerkraut. The indigestion that inevitably followed was the price one paid for the creative (if not hallucinogenic) inspiration they provided.
So it was a novel experience to be chilling on the patio while the client grilled up a rack of healthy dogs to try. Made with 100% pure turkey, they were delicious—no condiments required (and none of those embarrassing meat sweats after).
