There are pervasive and powerful perceptions associated with assistive devices people use to get through their daily lives. Aware of the stigma associated with the use of such devices, we identified an opportunity to position SideStix as a beacon of hope and resilience. Our strategy began with re-envisioning the brand around the aspirational message of ‘Defy Convention’. Then, applying it as a rallying cry across all touch points, empowering SideStix users, and giving them a reason to believe.
